Frequently Asked Questions

Our FAQ page features many useful questions asked about the products we sell.

  1. What is EPOS?

EPOS (Electronic Point Of Sale) is a system that uses computers combined with other hardware, such as barcode readers, cash drawers etc to accurately and instantly capture sales or transactions.
EPOS is more than that. It is a way to manage your shop not by guesswork but with accurate and informative information to help you get the most out of your business.

  2. How does EPOS work?

An EPOS system is an interplay of both hardware and software which cooperate seamlessly in a sales environment in order to capture information about the sale. This information can come in many forms such as barcodes, customer numbers and prices. All this data can be entered with a range of devices such as keyboards, touchscreen monitors and barcode scanners. All of this information describes the sale which can then be completed with the minimum of inconvenience.
But what good is all of this without knowledge of the items in the sale? Well worry not. There is a back end system which is used to manage all of the information about all of the products and everything else in your store. Using a single point of management you can quickly and efficiently manage every aspect of your store.
Using these tools you will be up and running in no time and your store will almost manage itself.

  3. Why use EPOS?

An EPOS system is widely considered a necessity in many retailers both independent and chain. Partly because of its increased flexibility into any point of sale environment but mainly because of its ability to vastly improve productivity. EPOS is regarded as quite possibly the most important item in a point of sale environment. Simply put - it is a tool you cannot live without.
